Final Exam:
I am I a combination of an imaginative artist and a realist artist. Symbolism is often incorporated into my artworks, as seen in the artwork above. I am a growing artist, learning how to express myself through my artwork. I have learned many different mediums; my favorite learned medium would definitely be oil paint.
I have selected thses art pieces because they demonstrate my learnt ablilities and growth. The Lily drawing was my first completed face drawing where I experimented with prismas and charcoal pencil together in a portrait. The colored moth is my favorite piece that I’ve created this year. It’s bright colors and symmetry exhibit skills I built on from last year. My first oil painting was a struggle but ultimately I was happy with the outcome. The rolling fields and clouds are quaint favorites.

Personal Symbols:
The colorful box I painted is a reflection of self symbolism. The paint inside the box is lighter than the paint surrounding it, symbolizing internal happieness. Both the messy and overlapping of paint colors work as an allegory to communicate different emotions inside the box. The box itself represents structure and captivity.

I choose to draw Lily for my figure drawing because I wanted to show emotion from a real person. I wanted to draw the chiseled features of anger. I first sketched out Lily's profile with a pencil then I went back and added Prisma colors for her accents. This mixed media gives the drawing a distinctive quality I had aspired for.
I used Prismas in my drawing to show off a bright contrast of colors. In designing my moth I wanted to smoothly blend colors like the reds, oranges, yellows, and pinks on the lower wings of the moth. I also wanted to create a natural earthy tone on the top wings. When drawing with Prismas I learned that it's best to layer colors from lightest to darkest for the desired effect. Overall I feel as though this Prisma moth drawing was a success and I enjoyed its composition.
hello
I made this artwork not trite by interpreting the word happiness to signify change. Happiness is often described as smiles, balloons, and sunshine; this artwork has none of these elements. The piece appears to be split between two seasons- reiterating the change from one time period to another. The car driving away could be interpreted as a person leaving and heading towards their future. I chose a pink sky because I view pink as a happy color and wanted the onlooker to have a positive mindset for the fleeting car.
